Master of Public Administration: Public Affairs Administration Concentration

If you want to focus on planning programs and policies at a high level, the Public Affairs Administration concentration of the MPA is designed for you. This leadership-oriented course of study focuses on the administrative and entrepreneurial skills you need for management positions, whether you want to start or run a non-profit company, a non-governmental organization (NGO), or another public or private service-oriented enterprise.

Public Affairs Administration is also the concentration of choice for people employed in non-profit organizations; the pharmaceutical industry; fire, police and public safety; healthcare providers; or  government agencies who wish to assume top management and executive roles at their agencies. 

Coursework in this concentration covers administrative law, public policy evaluation, management of diversity in the workforce, plus an elective class related to the effective management of human resources. You can apply your skills gained  anywhere there is a need for effective, leadership  combined with strategy planning, and people skills.
